- About- The request for correspondence is to be treated as a request under the Environment Information Regulations (EIR). As such, please find attached an acknowledgement letter. - You can expect a response 19 December. - Tip Inclusion - The tip has been included as it cannot be categorically proven that none of the material relates to historic coal mine activity. It is noted that records refer to the site as a sandstone quarry, which does widely reflect what is observed on the ground; however, visual observation is limited given the density of established vegetation, which has been taken into consideration. It has been noted that some exposures of colliery spoil material are evident immediately adjacent to the former quarry. Further, the tip is located in an area of significant historic coal mining activity. - Its inclusion does mean that the tip is inspected as part Welsh Government’s national inspection programme, which is deemed proportionate and pragmatic particularly in light of the recent history of the site. - We are happy to review further evidence for any tip, which may inform potential changes to our records. - Many thanks,
