Dear Mr. Boden-Ryan,
I write with regard to your complaint dated 15th October 2025.
Having investigated the matter as a Stage 1 complaint in line with The Councils Comments, Compliments, and Complaints Policy. Please see below my findings in respect to your complaint
The statement “Between 2017 & 2019 the CA were only inspecting NPT owned Coal tips as that was the main focus until Tylers Town” is factually correct. The request for the CA to inspect two privately owned Quarries was not part of the “review of all spoil tips between May 2017 & May 2019” .
As part of the Pantteg Landslip Data Review and Management Proposals undertaken between 2016 & 2019, the CA undertook the inspection of the two privately owned quarries situated directly above the backscarp of the Pantteg landslip area.
All 4 reports are on the NPT website along with the other Pantteg Landslip information at https://www.npt.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/roads-and- pavements/landslips/
I trust that this has satisfactorily responded to your concerns and provided clarification in this matter. However, should you remain unhappy, then you can request that your complaint be investigated under Stage 2 of the Council’s Corporate Complaints policy. Clarifying the reasons why you remain dissatisfied with the above response, what has not been addressed and the outcome expected.
Yours Sincerely,
